SAPP, PKR AGREE TO ENSURE ONE TO ONE FIGHT

SAPP, PKR agree to ensure one-to-one fight

TAWAU April 13, 2012: Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP), through its vice president Datuk Chua Soon Bui, has reached an understanding with Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) on the parliamentary and state seats they are going to contest in the impending general election.

Chua, who is Tawau Member of Parliament, yesterday said she held discussions with PKR leaders in Kuala Lumpur recently and they had agreed in principle on one-to-one fight with the Barisan Nasional in the 13th general election.

“We support them (PKR) by giving more parliamentary seats and they will reciprocate on the state seats,” she said.

Chua said that with the understanding, SAPP would retain the four state assembly seats and two parliamentary seats it is holding now.

“Our common goal is to change the government with the people’s interest at heart,” she said, adding that a one-to-one fight will make it easier for the people to choose who they want as government.

She said the opposition parties must realise that fighting among themselves will not help their cause, and a consensus must be reached.

Meanwhile, Pakatan Rakyat Sabah said that DAP, PAS and PKR had almost settled the seat allocation in Sabah for the 13th general election.

“There are a few overlapping seats. The list has been submitted to the Pakatan Rakyat (PR) national leaders for their attention,” said Pakatan Rakyat Sabah after its 10th meeting in Kota Kinabalu on Saturday.

The three election directors of DAP, PAS and PKR Sabah will be working together to prepare for the coming election.

The PR Secretariat Sabah also announced their full support for Bersih 3.0 that is expected to be launched in Kuala Lumpur on April 28.

  2. During the last Batu Sapi elections, PR requested SAPP to allow them to have a one to one with BN, but SAPP is not willing to do so. Why the sudden change of mind?

  3. Jangan mungkir janji, SAPP. Selalunya mereka membuat cadangan untuk kerjasama tetapi ahkirnya tidak terjadi-jadi juga.

  4. SAPP selalu cakap tak serupa bikin, sebelum ini mereka banyak kali meminta kesatuan dan kerjasama dengan pihak pembangkang, tetapi takut kedudukan mereka terjejas.

  5. SAPP selalu menghasut rakyat Sabah supaya menolak parti Semenanjung seperti Pakatan Rakyat dan memberi sokongan kepada mereka. Macam dua muka ini SAPP kerana memberitahu PKR bahawa mereka sokong tetapi di belakang pula lain cerita.
