Let govt know of problems, schools in Putatan advised
PUTATAN: All schools in the district are advised not to hesitate in bringing up any problems to the attention of the government so that follow-up action can be taken.
Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Yahya Hussin said yesterday that problems like classroom congestion, shortage of trained teachers, lack of basic infrastructure should never be ignored for it concern the wellbeing of the people.
“Problems like these must be brought to the attention of the government so that action can be taken,” he said during the District Education Expo yesterday which was jointly organised by the Putatan Umno Education Bureau and the Persatuan Gerakan Belia Wawasan Putatan.
The expo was officiated by Deputy Higher Education Minister Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah.
The district has a total of 31 schools both secondary and primary including kindergartens.
In relation to this, Yahya reminded parents to invest in their children’s education for it is a pre-condition to get out of poverty.
“The bumiputera community must realise that they must give priority to their children’s education in order to prepare them to face the challenges ahead,” he said.
