Students held over sexual bullying
Keningau October 31, 2010: Five Form Three boys were nabbed for sexually harassing a 13- year-old student and filming the incident at a secondary school here, three days ago.
District Police Chief DSP Zahari Mohamed said the incident occurred about 4pm and the case would be investigated under Section 354 of the Penal Code for assault or use criminal force on a person with intent to outrage modesty.
According to the victim's police report, the boys pulled her and touched her body and her breasts, while another boy recorded the event using his handphone.
"This case is viewed as serious because it involves offenders who are still in their tender age and supposed to be having good values as students and future leaders of this country," he said.
Zahari advised school authorities to strictly monitor their students and to report to police any extreme behavior among the students so that necessary action could be taken.
He also advised parents to be more involved in their children's daily activities and to make sure that they do not hang out with friends who are a bad influence.
Kes seperti ini amat serius, harap-harap budak-budak ini dikenankan tindakan disiplin dan semoga bertaubatlah. Mangsa juga perlu diberikan kaunseling supaya dapat menangani perkara ini dengan sebaik mungkin.
