HOPES HIGH IN SABAH OVER STIMULUS PACKAGE

MajimbunKUALA LUMPUR, March 9 (Bernama) -- Hopes are high in Sabah and Sarawak that the second economic stimulus plan, details of which are to be unveiled by the government tomorrow, will give due attention to the needs of the rural people.

"Although the 10th Malaysia Plan is 18 months away from implementation, the government should use the opportunity under this stimulus package to forward its allocation for a new building for this hospital. Queen Elizabeth Hospital is the only hospital in Sabah where the rural folk can afford to go. We need it (the allocation) urgently," said Sepanggar MP Datuk Eric Enchin Majimbun
