KOTA KINABALU May 14, 2012: Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan said Prime Minister Datuk Seri NajibTuin Razak is expected to make the much-anticipated announcement on the setting up of a Royal Commission of Inquiry on illegal immigrant related issues next month.
“We have to wait a while, it is going to be announced.
I believe that the Right Honorable Prime Minister would say something in June when he visits the interior,”
the Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) president said.
“As you see, Datuk Nazri has confirmed that the Cabinet has already approved (the setting up of the Royal Commission of Inquiry… It’s (just) a matter of the processing,:” he said.
“Obviously of course everybody is waiting and also to hear what are the Terms of Reference (TOR) and who will be brought on board the commission. We have to wait a while. It is going to be announced,” Pairin stressed when met at the Seventh-Day Adventist Kota Kinabalu Harvest Festival celebrations at the Maksak Hall here yesterday.
