I cried today...I cried after I found out about her story...
If you can read this post right now...that means you are very, very darn lucky! However, one of our friends in theblogosphere...is not very lucky. She might lose her privilege one day. Every single day, we can hear a lot of people complaining about their lives, their spouses, their works...Blah! Blah! Blah! How ungrateful a lot of us can be huh! We forget how blessed we are. Likewise this lady I'm going to talk about is very appreciative with what God has for her...but faith has its own way of showing people how cruel life can be...
She never gives up!
...and Faith picked Yvonne to show us we should be grateful of what we have! I only learnt about Yvonne's fate from Claire and Faisal. What a shame! I was utterly taken aback to know about her plight. I read her blog(http://www.yvonnefoong.com/) and realised how terrible life is treating her right now. In spite of everything she has to suffer, Yvonne has never let herself felt helpless! She has never given up hope. In fact, gusty Yvonne stood firm and fight for her own rights!

Being a fighter that she is, Yvonne does everything in her might to change her destiny. Yvonne predicament started when she was diagnosedNeurofibromatosis Type 2 seven years ago (2002), then everything looks not so sunny anymore for her. This genetic disorder causes tumour to grow in her brain, spine and along her peripheral nerves. Her conditionhas became worse and had cost Yvonne her hearing ability! Now the tumour is threatening to rob away Yvonne's SIGHT!!! The clock is ticking folks! We must do something to help her!

Yvonne has a scheduled operation in December...but the cost of the operation is far beyond her means. The surgery alone needs a staggeringUSD44,000 (RM155,000) and the the cost of staying in hospital for 2 weekswill set her back another USD915 (RM3219)! So far Yvonne has managed to raised RM65,000...she is still short of at least RM90,000 and certainly time is not on her side. We must do something to help her out! :(
I believe if we can all join forces and help her, the amount of money she needs is certainly within our reach! One way we can do so is by buying Yvonne's book-I'm Not Sick, Just a Bit Unwell (English & Chinese)! Of course this book is also available in major bookstores such as MPH. Let's support Yvonne!
