RANAU BODY NEEDS HELP - SIRINGAN

Ranau: The District In-Community Rehabilitation Centre (PPDK), meant to assist disabled children particularly those from poor families here, is in need of assistance from organisations and community leaders to carry out activities for its trainees.

Ranau Member of Parliament Datuk Siringan Gubat said this after his visit to present a water tank to the centre as well as RM5,000 for the purchase of rehabilitation equipment.

The centre was opened primarily to give support, including training, to disabled children here nearly nine years ago.

Siringan also advised parents of the trainees, who are mostly farmers and from a poor background, to care for their disabled children despite their difficult situation.

He hoped their burden would be lessened with the presence of this centre provided by the Barisan Nasional (BN) Government.

"There are many underprivileged groups in our country but thanks to the caring BN Government they also enjoy a share of the fruits of development," he said.
