GET SERIOUS ON THE ILLEGALS : SIRINGAN GUBAT

Kota Kinabalu: A Member of Parliament (MP) said Thursday's incident in Tingkayu is proof of what genuine Malaysian citizens in Sabah have been fearing about all this while due to the presence of many foreigners.

Datuk Siringan Gubat feared that the incident, which resulted in two local smallholders' deaths, might spark hatred for foreigners in Sabah, similar to what other countries are going through.

"The Government must be serious about the huge presence of illegal immigrants and foreigners who may have obtained Malaysian identification documents through improper channel.

"Genuine Malaysians in Sabah have been promised so many times but action has been very slow," he said.
