NRD ONLY ISSUED MYPR TO FOREIGNERS WHO HAVE BEEN GRANTED PERMANENT RESIDENT (PR) STATUS AFTER GETTING THE ENTRY PERMIT FROM THE IMMIGRATION DEPARTMENT

No MyKads to illegals: NRD

Kota Kinabalu: The National Registration Department (NRD) has never issued the MyKad to illegal immigrants in Sabah.

The Department only issued MyPR to foreigners who have been granted Permanent Resident (PR) status after getting the entry permit from the Immigration Department, said NRD Public Relation Officer, Jainisah Mohd Noor.

Responding to a statement by Sabah DAP Health Bureau Chairman Dr Felix Chong that illegal immigrants holding MyKads were burdening the healthcare services in Sabah, she said the NRD appreciated Dr Felix's concern on the matter.

In this respect, she said any agencies having doubts with the authenticity of the identity or MyKad of an individual who are seeking their services, are advised to refer the matter to the nearest NRD offices for verification.

    means that only the qualified applicants have the PR status...there must be an investigation regarding to the false IC....cooperation from all govt agencies, NGOs and people are needed to prevent and solve the illegal migrants in Sabah...

    Many illegal immigrants are holding fake IC customized from real stolen IC. The syndicate was expose a couple of times before. Whoever caught possessing stolen or fake IDs should be arrested.

    maybe it was a fake MyKad, or stolen from local people... cooperation from the public and government agencies or private sector is needed to prevent this matter.

    Masalahnya bukan pada Jabatan ini, tetapi orang2 yg berada di dalamnya, sama ada di peringkat pengurusan atau pentadbiran...Pada pendapat sya setiap jabatan yg terlibat dalam pengurusan pendatang perlu di 'overhaul' agar dapat mengurangkan elemen tidak amanah, back log, dan tiada ketelusan...

    well, its because of corruption..maybe there's some people in NRD that not loyal and brought many false speculations and assumptions to the respective department...this kind of people should be capture and punish for treason...

    sistem yang diguna pakai oleh NRD masa kini harus dipertingkatkan keselematannya...pemantauan terhadap PTI yang memiliki MyKad juga harus dipertingkatkan dan bukannya hanya menunggu aduan daripada orang ramai...kakitangan NRD juga harus menerapkan nilai2 murni serta amanah dan jujur dalam menjalankan tugas....

    Isu mykad ni sememangnya isu hangat di Sabah. Masalahnya..ramai yang ada mykad dengan no identiti negeri mereka bukan 12! PR ni janganlah disalah anggap dan yang menimbulkan isu ialah orang-orang Filipino dan Indonesia yang ada ic merah...sebab mereka sudah lama ada di Sabah....dan patut diberikan PR?

    Janganlah persoalkan bidang kuasa NRD kerana mereka hanya menjalankan tugas. Cuma 'leaking' sana sini ramai yang ada mykad palsu...dan macam mana pula mykad palsu serupa dengan mykad betul? Siapa dalangnya?
