SABAH MTUC QUERIES ON THE 900,000 SDC JOBS

Some 200,000 people in the country will have been retrenched by the end of the year,

During the launching of the Sabah Development Corridor (SDC) two years ago, it was announced that a total of 900,000 jobs would be available for the people of Sabah.

"Until now, the SDC is just a dream perhaps the State Government can clarify to us, just where have all the projects gone, or were the youths of Sabah promised opportunities which are non existent?"

Sabah has lost its skilled workers to neighbouring states and countries because the Sabah Government had failed to provide them jobs.

The Government has set up higher learning institutions to produce over 30,000 skilled workforce ready for the job market annually, yet it failed to provide jobs for these graduates,

The Kota Kinabalu Industrial Park (KKIP) which was once considered a gold mine for graduates is now silent,
