KOTA KINABALU: There were mixed reactions among Sabahans to the mini-Budget, with some lauding it while others were wary of its implementation and questioning if the actual benefits would reach the ground.
"From past experiences, the Budget was always conscientious and people-oriented. But by the time the allocation filtered to the ground, there is nothing left for the poor.
"This time around, I hope the intended targets will reap the benefits."
"Tourist arrivals have been steady but we are hampered by poor infrastructure like bad roads. I hope the government is serious about helping us in these tough times." said Sabah Homestay Association secretary Rubbin Gurribah.
