CUEPACS: STAFF FEELING THE STRESS

"Medical staff are starting to feel stressed out and they need a proper place to work. There must be a solution by this year. We don't want a situation where action will only be taken when a patient dies (while being moved)," said Cuepacs president Omar Osman.

 

WHEN PATIENTS HAVE TO SLEEP ON THE FLOOR

"It is not every day we are forced to ask patients to sleep on the floor but it happened recently," said a doctor at the hospital.

 

GOING EARLY TO AVOID LONG WAIT

Madam Yapp goes for her medical review twice a month at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Complex. Each visit starts at 6.15am.

"Imagine if there was a major bus accident. How would they cope?"

"The cost of transporting a patient on a stretcher is the equivalent of 12 return airline tickets.
