KENINGAU Oct 22, 2011: A 14-year-old girl claimed she was raped by a 14-year-old boy during a drinking spree with five other friends in a village near here.
The victim, who is a form two student, made a police report at 7.30pm on Thursday at the district police headquarters, said district police chief Deputy SuperintendentZahari Mohamed here yesterday.
“A 14-year-old suspect who attended the same school and in the same form was arrested by police on the same day of the incident for further investigations,” he said.
On initial police investigation, Zahari said the victim with five other friends (four female students in form two of the same school and the suspect) had skipped school on that day and went to a dilapidated house in a village at noon to drink Tanduay, a type of liquor.
“They all drank until they got drunk. Two female students came out of the dilapidated house while two girls and the victim fell asleep in the house,” he said.
Zahari further elaborated that about 4pm, the suspect had forcibly raped the victim who suffered minor injuries on her lips, right arm and left leg.
He said the victim was sent to the Keningau hospital and later referred to the Likas hospital for further examination.
The suspect was arrested on the same day about 9.15pm at his home in a village here and has been remanded for further investigation.
