NO PPSMI BUT ONLY IN 2012

The government's decision to abolish the teaching of Science and Mathematics in English was made on objective and not political consideration,

 "It was not made because of political factors or the Manik Urai by-election.

It was made in the interest of the country,"

"It is premature to change the policy in the middle of its implementation,"

The changes would begin in 2012, thus giving ample time for the government, teachers and students to make preparation.

"I am a parent too. I like to see my child have a strong command of English,"
