Keningau: Tourism, Culture and Environment Assistant Minister, Datuk Ellron Angin urged the district Education Department to repair the zinc roof of SK Kampung Kepayan Baru, here, immediately.
Portions of zinc roofing over the Year Six and Year Two classes were blown away recently by strong gusts of winds.
Ellron, who is Sook Assemblyman, also urged the Community Development Leader (PKR) office to provide the necessary zinc sheets so that repairs could be carried out immediately.
Ellron, who is also Parti Bersatu Rakyat Sabah (PBRS) deputy president also visited Kampung Linsudan, Kampung Kiulu Baru, the Sook Roman Catholic Church and Kampung Batu 4 Biah, all areas which were affected by the recent strong winds.
Towards this end, Ellron sympathised with those whose homes were damaged and assured the people that help would be extended to allow repairs to be done to their homes.
Meanwhile, Sook Community Development Leader, Charles Ikang said the PKR unit would immediately extend assistance to those who have been identified.
