Indonesian jailed for intimidation
KOTA KINABALU June 9, 2012: A man was jailed and another man was fined by the Magistrate’s Court here yesterday for intimidation and causing a public disturbance respectively.
Indonesian Petrus Martin was jailed for 14 days after he admitted to uttering “I will kill you” to a man.
The 24-year-old immigrant, who committed the offence at Sunny Garden, Jalan Tuaran on June 4, was also ordered to be referred to the Immigration Department after serving his sentence for further action.
Meanwhile, local James Osman, 18, was fined RM25, in default, seven days’ jail for drunken rage at a rented house in Jalan Pinggir Istana here on Jan 1 this year.
He admitted to damaging a kitchen sink belonging to a 41-year-old local man while he was drunk.
Prosecuting officer Inspector Syahrin Ali prosecuted both cases.
