TEENAGE GIRLS TEAM UP TO ROB SALESGIRL

KUANTAN: Three teenage girl teamed up with a boy to rob a 28-year-old salesgirl of valuables worth RM900 here on Monday.

The salesgirl was walking alone on Jalan Wong Ah Jang at 7.15pm when she was approached by the 14-year-olds.

Two of them grabbed her hands while the other two snatched her gold chain and handphone before fleeing.

The victim, who suffered minor injuries on the neck, sought outpatient treatment at Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital here before lodging a police report.

State CID chief Assistant Commissioner T. Narenasagaran said police went to the area and caught two girls who were believed to be part of the gang.

"We believe the suspects had been keeping a close watch on their victim before carrying out the attack in a group. We are still on the trail of the rest of the gang members."
