NO BRIBE, SO COPS PUSH PREGANT WOMAN OFF MOVING TRAIN

image NEW DELHI, June 20 (Bernama) -- In what can only be described as a beastly act, two railway policemen pushed a five-month pregnant woman and her three-year-old daughter from a moving train for failing to give them a 100 Rupee (RM7.30) bribe.

Her daughter too, fell off the train but narrowly escaped death as she landed away from the railway tracks in the horrific incident, two days ago.

Describing the episode as a "barbaric incident", the Times of India, reported that the woman, who was sitting with her daughter on her lap, was swept under the wheels of the train and killed on the spot.

At 1.45 pm last Thursday, Dinesh, Kavita and their daughter boarded the passenger train at Tikuniya Railway station near his village, with his bicycle, which he later tied to the grill of the coach.

According to the paper, the two policemen on board the train had allegedly demanded Rs100 from Dinesh for loading his bicycle.

When Kavita, whose daughter was seated on her lap, gave them Rs5 (RM0.37), the policemen became angry and pushed them off the train.

Dinesh jumped off the train to save his wife but she was already dead.
