Governor of Sabah State and a small-scale landlord.
Started the Tun Ahmadshah Foundation in 2004 to help the needy and gives it roughly RM48,000 a year. It awards scholarships and funds educational programs for underprivileged students. It also pays medical bills and picks up the cost of health care equipment, and helps single mothers, orphans and victims of tragedies.

Inherited much of her money from her father-in-law, who was head of the State of Sabah, and invested in the property development, timber and travel sectors.
Aspired since her student days to help as many people as she can; she's taken up causes in child development, education, health, art, music, environmental protection and sportsmanship. Set up her Kebajikan Suria Foundation in 1996, and it's helped more than 1,000 children throughout Sabah. Donated RM133,000 last year in money and goods. This year her foundation is setting up a women's counseling division to address career challenges, depression, infertility and abuse.
